NEW BRIGHTON, Minn.–(EON: Enhanced Online News)–A unique, locally owned and operated pet cremation service opened in the
Twin Cities providing one-at-a-time pet cremation services backed with
the understanding of how important a pet is to the surviving family.

We serve the entire seven-county metro area

Owners Skip Wyland and Carol Noren have backgrounds to know how death
affects survivors. Wyland’s 30 years experience as a funeral director
included family grief counseling. Noren was a pastor and hospice
chaplain for 25 years. They have also experienced the loss of family
pets firsthand. Their life experiences brought them to launch Pets
Remembered.

“We knew there was a definite need for gentle, personal attention to
pets that have died,” Wyland said. “For some, a pet may be their best
friend. For others, a pet is an integral part of the family. It may be a
child’s first experience with death. It is important to say good-bye in
a meaningful way while embracing the memories of the pet.”

Pets Remembered has a complete facility to comfort the family during a
viewing prior to cremation. Pet cremation is done on site,
one-at-a-time, so families know that they are getting the ashes of their
pet. Pets can be brought to the facility or be picked up by Pets
Remembered at their home, veterinary clinic or even an affiliated
funeral home. Ashes can be picked up or delivered within 24-48 hours.

“We serve the entire seven-county metro area,” said Noren. “But we can
make arrangements for pets throughout the Midwest as well. Our
compassion has no definitive, geographical market.”

A flat fee of $195 for the complete service includes cremation,
walnut-stained carved urn, certificate of cremation, grief materials,
presentation bag and web obituary. A donation to Paws for a Cause, Inc.
is also made in the pet’s name.

An array of optional urns, garden markers, caskets, wind chimes,
personalized blankets and other memorable keepsakes is available. Pets
Remembered also provides grief support books and literature, as well as
personal grief counseling.
